The physics are very good, so it requires good timing to pull off successful tricks. You're limited to two courses--the backyard beginner area and the main skate park--but there are several ramps and rails you can perform tricks on, so it doesn't become boring quickly. We like the overall feel of the game, but the camera view might be too close; you can't easily see when obstacles are coming up off-screen. Indicators at the side of the screen give you a hint when a rail or ramp is getting closer, but it might be more enjoyable with a little more time to set up for a trick.
